Karen welcomed everyone and then informed all of the New Evening Event that took place in La Galleria last Tuesday. There are future dates on the website www.yateleynetworking.co.uk for three more of these to take place throughout the year in July, September and December.
Fiona Barnes from www.fionabarnescoaching.co.uk was our speaker this month.
Fiona did a presentation on ‘How Resilient is your Career?’ Below are some of the areas that Fiona tapped into.
What is Resilience?
According dictionary definitions, resilience is the:
• ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape
• capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness
• Life / work balance
• Eating Healthily
• Exercise Regularly
• Sleep Well
In an ideal world ……
• Physical resilience
• Emotional resilience = Balance
If you are interested in looking into this further or seeing the rest of her presentation which gives you some key elements then you can either contact us at www.yateleynetworking.co.uk for the slides of the presentation or get in contact with Fiona at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to meet with her for a free 40 minute session.
Following this we went into our 60 second introductions, due to the smaller group we continued to sit and had a group discussion which covered tips and recommendations from each other either connected to their business or from past experiences, some of which linked nicely to Fiona’s presentation, this was a pleasant twist to the usual event.
Fran Parkes from Yateley School, would like to say thank you to everybody that came to conduct the mock interviews for the students. It was much appreciated by the school and more so by the students invovlved.
Thank you to all those who attended and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the next meeting on Wednesday 3rd June, same time, same place. The lucky winner of the business card draw was Nell Op De Beeck and Fiona donated a book which was won by Chris Clarke.
Thank you to Sandhurst Bakery for the, now, expected breakfast pastries.
