Our speaker was Richard Searson from Phoenix Coaching and Development, www.phoenix-coaching.org.uk
Richard gave us 5 steps of how to deal with things in life that stop you from your normal path, sour moments that throw you off course!
- Listen – Not React
- Give yourself permission to be human
- What’s NOT the problem here?
Step out and look in, this opens up your options which is easier to help deal with it.
Giving a negative instruction = it will happen
This aids well-being, makes you feel better about yourself.
Result if you do the above – Your turn lemons into Margaritas
So thank you very much Richard for this very positive advice, it certainly does make you think when you come across situations on how to deal with them, control and manage them so that they do not take over and run away with you out of all proportion.
We then followed on with a 60 second introduction from all of the attendees, again, a good number joined us with more new faces which is always refreshing but we are also pleased to see our regulars returning month after month, supporting this networking event.
A big thank you once again to Sandhurst Bakery for the lovely breakfast pastries, naughty but nice!
Moving on, we had our 2nd Evening Networking Event on Tuesday 7th July, this was held in La Galleria, www.lagalleria.co.uk
There were 20 odd of us enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant and the Tapas and Wine that were put on by La Galleria.
We opened up with a 60 second introduction from everyone which was informative and helpful as we had several new faces representing their business. This then went into relaxed networking where everyone could make connections and share information and advice and promote their services.
There is a lovely, warm, community feel about Yateley Networking, everyone is looking to support each other and its local area which is very encouraging in this day and age.
We will be holding our next morning event on Wednesday 5th August for you early birds and our next evening event is on Tuesday 29th September. For further information and details please take a look at our website where you will find all you should need to know and if not, do not hesitate to contact either of us, Karen and Tara. www.yateleynetworking.co.uk
